I had a great time at ZoukOut la..
My first time & most probably my last time.
Because I was there solely for Above & Beyond,& I don't think the super trio would be so free to come to ZoukOut only every year?!?!
I can't wait to see them again within the next 6mths in Singapore!! YAYAYAYYAYAYAYA..

SPEAKING OF WHICH,another SUPER DJ is coming to town early JANUARY!! YAYAYAYYAYA..
its ARMIN VAN BUUREN.. :D :D :D
Wah he's also one of the best trance artistes man..Very good tracks he's been producing for 10yrs.
Well I only know of him 6years ago..

SO..Anyway..On that same Saturday,the boy & I had brunch over at Coastes..
My first time there too..The food's great~! The music's good,& its what I call.."ang moh land"..
Trust me,the prices of food may be steeper,but its good. ;)
As for "ang moh land.."..haha..If you're local,you'd understand.
Zero locals there except for the waiting staff!


The sun,sand,food & drinks were all good.
Would definitely be back again.. :)

I went home with dear to take 2 naps..1 before dinner & 1 after.(KIASU right? ;))
& met up with Wenjun for..MOVIEEEEEE.
Yeah we caught the 11+pm show..
And honestly? I didn't know that Keanu Reeves was rather good looking.
The show was alittle disappointing at the end though,it was so fast & it left me in a question mark.
It started out well & delivered throughout from the beginning to the middle,but towards the end its like HUH?
AHZZZZZZZZ..

Anyway after the show I immediately went to meet somebody whom I helped to borrow something for her & her friends because of Zoukout.
Sometimes I just wonder are they grateful for the effort I put in & the thought of me of the effort I put in or not.
HEck.I'm not keen on helping many people anymore,wastes time & brings in more frustration instead of happiness.

The 3 of us then shared a cab into Sentosa & it was FREAKING EXPENSIVE.
The car was already in Sentosa,so we just bought some drinks to mix with the vodka that Wenjun brought..

I am quite proud to say that I paid for most of the things this time between dear & I for this day out,because it was my idea to go ZoukOut..Wenjun's too :)
But of course he paid for himself la.
I covered for 2 tickets,the cab fare,all the drinks & juices but not the vodka.
Brought snacks along to stash in the car too! yay~
We popped in at about 2+?
Yeah that was when Dirty South or Sasha was playing..To my horror,I only got to find out that Above & Beyond was to spin at 5AM!!
It was totally crowded,everyone was having fun..
Some men were teasing ladies,some men were teasing..men.

Some were out of control,like there was no government.I dont really want to think about it,especially those who were doing some illegal things in the dark.
Wenjun & I bought ourselves RipCurl X ZoukOut tees..Yay~

We bobbed around with Sasha's mixes..
But it wasn't very exciting. We missed out on Dirty South,I regret it. Because I like the songs he produced over the past 2yrs! But ANYWAY..My trance heroes were out by 5am,sharp! & I missed out on the first half-hour though..awww..
I felt that the set was pretty good,but the best was back then in 2006 for their Tri-State album tour.. :D
The music was a happy high throughout at ZoukOut,singing,dancing & jumping like mad..
With lots of old & new trance + progression & vocal tracks..
I felt like I was singing with Tony of A&B!! HAHA..
Best part with alot of Oceanlab songs from the new album!!
& the Signal Runner's "These Shoulders"..waaaaa..nice..:D:D:D
Surprisingly,they played William Orbit's "Adagio for Strings"..wah..that's like since secondary school..awesome la..

Tony of A&B became very emotional towards the end,& I was actually hoping for another encore...
FAT HOPE MAN.Aldrin was super ready to take over the set & so many people realisticly left immediately when Aldrin started playing The Killers. :((
My bf & friend too..ALAMAK,tired & hungry to even stay for another 3 more songs...
Really wanted to stay,but they were so tired & hungry.Darn.
I ran into kor's friend too..It was a pity we didn't club together.
Oh well.I guess I do better in smaller groups than huge groups of friends. :)
So..yeah..BREAKFAST!! Near my house :9

& I went home to admire my t-shirt before washing up to sleep.Ha.
Guess it'll be my first & last visit to ZoukOut..
Don't ask why not..
If A&B were to be there again,I'd say.."why not?" ;)

Woke up an hour ago from a 4hour nap..Hadn't slept rather well like that in sometime no thanks to a hangover actually..
I feel much better now compared to this morning where my stomach was SUPER QUEAZY.
Its raining now & the thunder is scaring me to death..haiz.

Had a crazy night at Zouk for ONE with Aldrin session..
Had free entries of up to 8ppl on the guest list & was surprised that the DJ himself settles these reservations via email to us Zoukettes.
But it was really wasted that i used 3 places of the 8 that I requested for.
Expected more friends to go,but I didn't disclose that I was on the guestlist with invites to Zouk.
Some aren't interested in going,or some,paying,simple as that.
This may sound mean but its nothing new,sometimes,you just want to see their reactions when you ask them.
Some just want to see who's going,ask shiok already then say that they're tired.
Most Singaporeans expects a benefit from someone else when someone opens the door to them.& usually..They ask for something in return.Sad isn't it?
I've tried plenty of times & very few reflect positive attitudes..
Gave a pair away to 2 Japanese guys I sat next to outside at the bench though.
Their english was very good,working in a German company!heh.

Anyway..
Initially felt like there was no kick,don't know which DJ was playing since Zouk doors opened but his house vibes got better & better :)
They even hired an indian guy to play their traditional drums as part of some indian song & some tribals songs..Heh,very nice!
A few good familliar tunes too yay~

It was pretty empty for a Sunday night at Zouk,and there were so many malays last night..All appeared from the now defunct MoS and Dbl O,I guess.
With only Raymond and Geraldine and I,and no..I didn't bring my camera,too troublesome to carry with me.
Didn't realise that Raymond drinks so much till now.
I don't know if it fits,were we binge drinking?
Its bad for one's bone health leh. :(

We shared 3 trays of shots and 2 jugs of whiskey dry.S-C-A-R-Y.
Sex on the beach,Illusion,Blowsjobs,Nothing,Apple shooters..
I almost died from drinking so many shots all night from 11.30 to 3am!

I can't stand it,feeling dizzy and queazy again..

Am dead exhausted,just caught an episode I missed out on Friday,sort of hooked to Skip Beat! series.
They're only at the second episode on national television. :D
D. Gray Man's over,so fast.Haiz.

Had 2 very long days..Yesterday and today..
Work was quite abit of a struggle with 1 of the eye cases on Friday.
Pretty much disappointed in myself because my boss usually gives the same opinions on what I should do to attain what type of effects on colouring.
AND I STILL DONT SEEM TO GET IT RIGHT with the colouring effect.Boohoo. :(
Super emo.I don't know what hit me.
I even cried for a tiny short while after the case was completed.
Sorry to have scared you on that cry baby moment girl. ;)

Moving on,I went home for a nap after dinner,pretty much worn out.
Had to rest for Sarah's party at Dbl O,and wake up real early the next morning.

It was quite messy actually,alot of waiting here & there.
Was there since 1030pm and finally stepped in almost an hour later.
Im surprised with the bits of changes to the place since I've not clubbed there for the past 2years.The drinks came into the picture at almost midnight too,I thought I couldn't survive that night man!
Though I had company from the girls,the music was un-happening at the section we were at..OMG.

Killed time with more photo taking instead.I was dying to walk over to the house music section rather than their pool area where we were seated at.Then again,the ZZZZZZZZZ monster was calling out to me already.

Everyone finally had arrived and sang a birthday song way past midnight..Yeah we got acquainted to a handful.

Cakes were pathetic.
Eventually we did drink,I didn't get high though I was all red,Leon thought I was getting drunk,my friends didn't like house music when we hit the packed dance floor,and we settled for O Bar which was not too bad,but the crowd was full of men on the dance floor.eeks.

Funny thing Sarah's cousin,Steve,tagged along with 4 of us girls to dance & became our "bodyguard" for that time being..keke..
I felt alittle paiseh for pulling him in as a barrier against us & the irritating guys around us..
Something was not right with our eye contacts & him going to dance with us.
Hope I didn't mislead him & make things awkward.
Something not right with him either,I sense that he's quite a...player.. :X

Eventually he scrammed to find Sarah,and the 4 of us on the dance floor were surrounded by guys once again. -.-"
Super cannot make it.We didn't stay there for long.
Plus the airconditioning,full of water condensation dripping down on us & yet the place was still so hot with it at full blast.

So Steve didn't manage to find her when we went back upstairs,MeiLing & I tried our luck with 1 round in the dance floor & was SO tempted to dance with the awesome stuff being played.
Aiyo. In the end we still couldnt find her.
Other friends didn't feel a sense of urgency,the rest disappeared.
Somehow,she re-appeared with her friends.
So odd. So drunk. So difficult to handle her running all over with all the bullish things coming out of her mouth.
Luckily she wasn't so difficult to deal with compared to..HAHA..I will not mention here! :)

Strange.Anyway it was closing time for all that to happen..

Everyone soon made a move soon after all the lights were on..
And the 4 of us stayed behind till we were chased out of the area..
Had some bak kut teh for breakfast + great conversation,& made my way home.Fast.

Sort of enjoyed myself somehow,I was worried to see Leon at this party & it wasn't that bad after all,he wasn't glued anywhere near me for like 80% of the time in the club,so it wasn't as awkward as I thought it would have been.Time sure flies.
It's been 3yrs..

Time to sign out & post again tomorrow..
I'm tired! Need to crash.

A weeks' backlog..
Better late than never ;)

Didn't do anything for my Sunday besides following dear to have dinner with his parents..
& scrammed to Zouk at night for some trance essentials..
Some one-time thing with the world's #4 dj,Paul van Dyk,on a Sunday night,you got that right..Was dead tired the next day at work!!
I've never been to a Paul van Dyk session since I was in Secondary school..Goes to show that I've aged,& missed out a whole lot.. :)

Bumped into that whosgoing.sg photographer,some malay fella who looked like he lost alot of weight.Well anyway,I had a shot at this set,& it was just too crowded on the dance floor to get a photograph taken,simply CRAZY to be squeezed in like sardines.
Somehow we managed to elbow & jump our way to keep in place on that stupid dance floor to the hyper melodic music..

Here are my shots for the night..& the clearest photo was taken by someone from lifestyle.sg..Also at the club,ran into a familliar face or 2..& clubbed together with Raymond & friends..
He played an AMAZING set from 11.30pm to 3am..
That which of I stayed till 2am only with working committments.hee.

I always thought everyone gets over-excited about PvD..
Even those who have no idea what trance music is or who PvD is & act like he's a major superstar because of his "brand name",are poseurs..Well absolutely not..
They too,know what good stuff is..
If only I get to club in Amnesia,Ibiza during the first week of August.. :D :D :D

Back to Singapore....
He played tonnes of his own music from his "In Between" album (or was I thinking of what I wanted to hear?! haha..)such as Complicated,Far Away (I think),Another Sunday,Stormy Skies,New York City,La Dolce Vita,& Let Go..
Also,he played a track or 2 from music label Anjunabeats..!yay~I think it was by Aalto..
There also was Funkagenda's infectious tune "What The F***"..
Not forgetting the song,For An Angel,but its a more mellow remix he did which made me have a piano in the air..ahha..
But back to my point,For An Angel..is the track which made him much more popular so long ago when I was in Secondary school,1998..!OMG.That song..TEN YEARS AGO..
Together with Another Way in the same year,which was good too..
HAHA..I can't believe it,its some of those songs that Lindy & I used to be gushing on what type of music it was.

Quite a number of vocal tracks too that he played,but I couldn't identify them..
Could have been new stuff..
I seriously enjoyed my visit to Zouk that night..

Little did I know..Well yeah,a few days later I found out that a handful of Kor's friends were there too,plus Cheng Hui's sister & friends too..gees.oh well!:)

Next in my list..
Had thoughts to go for this,but I think I'd skip it,or should I say,club less often?
Save money,sleep early,stay healthy..
We'll see..

I forgotten how it felt like to club in a group,& it suddenly felt fun to be together in a group instead of it just being my boyfriend & I..
Not that I'm saying my boyfriend is boring..But sometimes,a change does us good.
My apologies for another zillion times for making you feel pathetic after the party with that one sentence which didn't mean what you think I meant.
Its a lesson learnt for the both of us..
& next time you are unwell,just tell me,don't geh kiang!
Be open & straightforward please..? Makes life easier for us.. :)
