Work was alittle tough today,but was still good,met up with kor for dinner in Marina Square..
Up to the foodcourt!
Kor had some charsiew & roasted duck served with rice which was not too bad,from my favourite roasts stall.. :)
Whereas I ordered an Ayam Penyet..yummy~
For anyone who's clueless on what that's about,its actually deep fried chicken which is smashed (flattened),that's how the bahasa word came about..
Served with deep friend tau hu & tempeh,some stir fried kangkong,tonnes of crispy fried batter & their devilishly hot chilli sauce..
It's something that I seriously love! Well..Fried food that is :)
Well then..Popped over to XM's work place as kor needed to hand her something..
& then it to collect our tickets for our show..
I had free tickets to 12 Lotus thanks to The Straits Times paper..
Story is about singer Lian Hua (Mindee Ong) & the heartless men in her life who use & abuse her..Her Dad,the man of her life,& the total stranger..
Seriously has nothing to do with what we see in the movie trailers.How misleading.
I was still thinking of something light-hearted & entertaining like Money No Enough or something..
Well,in the show,just like real life,shows the evil motives of people..
Money,betrayal,lust..
& The people who are right always end up as victims.
VERY SAD.
I shouldn't have watched this movie if I had known earlier..
It made me think ALOT.
Like how sad when she was cheated into that fake relation ship with Ah Long..
Then into "paying her father's debts" after he died,forced to take a gamble & lost no thanks to the cheating gangsters..
& Forced to be held still,screaming & crying when she was stripped & raped with nude photographs taken of her..Omg.
Very disheartening & disturbing,heavy hearted to watch this almost 2hour show.
So many flashbacks of her disturbing memory that made her insane..
Some parts draggy,but still.I shouldn't have watched it. :(
& Guess what..I cried alot,ever since her father hit her multiple times with the cane during her home singing lesson..
Multiple scenes just want to make you want to constantly blink those tears away when songs are sung out relating to them..Sad..
Not for those who are emotionally soft like I am,or for those who sympathize & empathize with people..
Sadly,I don't recommend it..
