National Day, 9th Aug 2008
Spent my day at the Padang..
Last minute had tickets for a friend & I from work thanks to my boss but,we had to turn it away..
Was attend to help out with the Health Services Union along with NTUC at the Padang for their own celebration..
To break a record & form the largest flag formation here in Singapore.
Very tiring..
Went there at about 1+pm to help out outside Funan Centre & then we walked over to the Padang carrying whatever food & drinks that had not been redeemed yet.
Once again in the Padang..The last time I've been here was almost 2years ago with various friends in the series of Nokia's Starlight Cinema movie screenings..
Snapping time before we entered the enclosed area which was meant to be for the flag formation area..
Was initially darn hot & sunny in the afternoon until 6+pm,it drizzled for about an hour plus.. :(
Thank goodness there was a poncho for each of us to use..
The following are a splash of photos taken from the sing-along,the highlights of the parade of the jets doing their synchronised patterns,to the flag formation & not forgetting fireworks! Actually took a few videos but my computer seems really slow to upload on youtube.Oh well,would update that again..
