Not well & still went out..
Bought tickets to a movie using that AXS machine within SGH grounds..
Super suaku to this form of purchasing tickets.
My first time using an AXS machine too actually.OOPS.
Yeah Yanti was laughing her lungs out knowing that I didn't know how to use an AXS machine,plus the fact that it's my first time! HEE.
I don't do the bills la.. :P
Went down to meet dear in Vivo & he was very late,bad case of jam I guess.
Sat around in Pacific Coffee Company for quite sometime with my tea,& the aircon was FREEZING COLD.It was crazy,the weather in Singapore is SO HOT & HUMID,& the shopping centres blast their aircon on tops.
Then I was browsing through a couple of expat & spa magazines,& came across this piece of furniture advertisement..
Looks super cool doesn't it?
Its named Obelisk,designed by Frank Ligthart,made by Dedon..
Sure to be something expensive.. :)
Moving on,we had another hard time finding a place to eat..
Finally settled for this tiny diner..Green House Cafe,located at the basement neat SuperDog..
Its directly on the right-hand side after entering Vivo City from the MRT station..
Sharing a unit with florist,Pocket Full of Posies,I felt it was left quite un-noticed.
Wasn't super packed & we still gave it a shot for their daily set meal specials at S$18.90..
The set includes a drink,a soup,a main,& a dessert..
The soup was quite good as far as I could see,its creamy & had so much chopped mushrooms which I was totally eeked out with.
I passed it to dear of course.. :)
So yeah,it was a Wenesday & we had choices of some roasted herb chicken,dory fish fillet & some king prawn pasta..
He had some beef thingy which I seriously am unable to remember,with some type of sauce..
& I had lamb of some sort.
My apologies,I myself am unable to remember what it exactly was named & where the meats were from.
Over all,quite good cuts,though alittle small..
The sauces for both our dishes seemed very much the same,very peppery!
& the boiled vegetables were tasteless,they could have at least topped it with butter for flavour..
There were 2 choices for desserts..Mango pudding,or peach cake..
We decided to have both & shared..
The mango pudding was those pre-made ones which was still not bad.
But it was the peach cake which was wow to me..I like it!
Perhaps I'll be there again just for that cake..hee.
The service was not too bad,guessing that its a family run business,the auntie was very chatty & acommodative towards us..Goody~ :)
Not too long after,we conveniently popped over to Giant & bought ourselves a bottle of water to sit through the movie..
The express counter wasn't very express after all no thanks to this selfish indian couple.
The tiny & puny cashier immediately pointed out that her lane was for transactions of 10items & below in the basket but this couple had about 15items after he denied & counted in front of her.AIYOH.
The man seemed to have this intimidating look.& his other half looked like she had a rough day.
Left with little choice,the cashier silently checked their things out with a sian look written on her face.
Wasting time when all I'm holding is a bottle of water!
We want go up for the movie!!zzzzz..
I simply asked dear for some coins & they realised that we're behind them..
The couple quietly minded their own business & acted like nothing happened,leaving with four bags of groceries.
So much for being in the fast lane.Lousy selfish peeps.
Stupid.
Anyway..We weren't late for the movie thanks to our long legs :)
We got to see the trailers & watch the movie in..Not much of peace..
This is what happens when you don't get to choose your seats.
Next to the aisle..
We have bright lights indicating seat locatins..
& we have ALOT of people walking up & down their way to the loo..
Some were quite awful with their slippers going "pa pa pa" down the carpeted steps.
Watched Red Cliff (Part 1) in the largest auditorium,& the movie was really good!
Its about the Han Dynasty facing its death in third century China,& emperor raises a million-man army against two kingdoms which seem hopelessly outmatched.
In short,its along with China's history on war & so on..
The visuals & action scenes are great,quite neat,surprising & precise.
The acting by the main cast & supporting actors+actress were good..
The style of filming is artistic enough,& the story basically is very easy to understand.
Well, if you didn't read the story of 'Three Kingdoms' , I would recommend you to this movie.
You'd understand the story instantly,& be awed by the various tactics of war crafts from the foes.
It's quite funny & serious together..With a boring part or 2 thats all..
The ending just gets you so excited for its sequel..
Like watching a tv drama..I want to watch the next episode now! haha..
But that isn't possible.The concluding episode runs in January 2009.. :)
The people in the West get to watch just one movie with the ending all summarized up together unlike the ones we asians view in the cinema..
I wonder how long would Part 2 be like..?
